It is a block mat where uniquely shaped concrete blocks (Solco blocks) are adhered and fixed with adhesive on top of a filter cloth made from high-strength synthetic fibers. Since 1972, the Asahi Kasei Group has been working with block manufacturing partners nationwide to develop and promote this product, achieving numerous results in rivers, waterways, and ponds. Solcomat complies with the block mat specified in the "Basic Policy for Disaster Recovery to Protect Beautiful Mountains and Rivers" (National Disaster Prevention Association) C table.
